What's the story
Millions of people have tried Alpha, all around the world, and it's been translated into 112 different languages.
Developed as a short course at HTB London, in 1990 Nicky Gumbel took over running Alpha and found that many people outside of the church wanted to explore the Christian faith. Alpha now runs in every part of the global church, including the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and all mainline Protestant denominations.

Plan and prepare
A few key questions to ask are: Where will I run my Alpha? What dates will work best? What start time will work best for the people we invite? Once you’ve registered your Alpha you’ll have access to an easy scheduling tool to help you plan your talks, work around holidays and share the schedule with your team.
Build and train your team

The Russian military isn't really known for having a gentle touch, so it should come as no surprise that their counterterrorism operations training is really tough. But just how tough is borderline insane.

Russia's Federal Security Service, called the FSB – and successor to the KGB – shoots their agents center mass to give them confidence in a terrorist-controlled situation where bullets might be flying by their heads.
The trainees, wearing body armor, absorb a few round before fire shots back at the target. In the video below, the guy in front of the target is Andrei, an FSB operator, who doesn't flinch as three rounds zing by his head.
